We've moved!
The search is finally over. We have spent months looking
for the ideal premises to replace the site at Orchard Road. The new
location has better access to more major roads making our response
times better. The 50,000 square ft of space gives us plenty of room
for growth and the facilites are far better making life at JKE a better
place to be going to work. This move coincides with our current recruitment
drive for more HGV drivers.

JKE win prestigious digester cleaning contract
Interserve Plc Have awarded JKE a sub-contract to empty and
clean four digesters at Riverside STW Thames Water site. These digesters
have been out of service for many years and still contain approx 10,000m3
of waste. JKE proposed to remove and then screen the waste which will
reduce the waste off site to as little as 10% of the original volume.
The program is expected to last 7-8 weeks and will involve almost
20 staff including speacial operations teams, rescue teams and confined
space entry crews. The works are part of a £60m project to carry
out the construction of the Riverside Sludge Digestion Plant in Rainham.
Interserve will construct a new Thermal Hydrolysis Plant, refit digestion
equipment and undertake alterations and extensions in order to meet
the new Tideway Operating Agreement consent for client Thames Water
Utilities Ltd. In addition to handling sludge generated at the Riverside
sewage treatment works (STW) the plant will also take material from
the nearby Beckton STW.

March 30th 2009 New Screen is causing a stir
W ay back in Jan of this year JKE took delivery of a brand new screening
unit. This unit was bespoke and build by CDE a company normally associated
with quarry technology. Since the unit arrived it has not stopped
working and has produced some amazing results. We live in a time where
landfill sites are diminishing and we have a duty to reduce the waste
we produce and our carbon footprint. We have managed to reduce some
wastes by as much as 70%. You
